Moochdocking - Tennessee Smokey Mountains Edition
On our return trip after buying the Thor Tiburon in St. Augustine, Florida, we took a trip to my brother-in-law’s house in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains. Keith retired here a few years ago to be near the center of the birthplace of Country music, in Bristol, TN. His place, just outside Jonesborough is a retreat in the woods.
We were treated to a day trip around the gorgeous town of Jonesborough::
We also got to spend some time on the water, with a day of kayaking on the Nolichucky River followed up with a day of pontooning on Lake Watauga.
Back at the house we were treated to the sights of some bear who live in the woods around the property. This guy was content to take a nap about 40′ up a tree.
